Activities
During their tour of the exhibition, the children will be guided to discover how Aki Sasamoto uses mathematics and physics to tell stories about the world. By looking at works such as Secrets of My Mother’s Child, Strange Attractors and Delicate Cycle, they will be introduced to curves and trajectories, as well as centripetal and centrifugal forces.
In the workshop session, the class will create images using simple coding exercises, and the interpretation of captions and instruction sequences. The activity will encourage reading, understanding, and turning abstract directions into visual marks and compositions.
