Trees Like Us

Pirelli HangarBicocca, via Chiese 2, Milan

max. 15

about 90 minutes

In the exhibition “A Leaf-Shaped Animal Draws The Hand” the artist Daniel Steegmann Mangrané invites us to observe Nature and view it as a pulsating organism that grows and mutates just as we do. Taking our cue from the artist’s works and the illustrated album provided, we can create a tree in our image and resemblances, which will become part of a fairy-tale forest.

Timothy Top in Tour

Pirelli HangarBicocca, via Chiese 2, Milan

max. 30

about 90 minutes

In collaboration with Nidi, Technical Partner for the Kids Program.

Timothy Top is a little green superhero, the main character of the comic drawn by Daniele Bonomo – aka GUD – and published in three books by publishers Tunué for the Tipitondi series. During the Timothy Top workshop the young attendees are literally and visually immersed in Timothy’s world, through GUD’s words and drawings as he tells and draws a story inspired by Wild Board Green. The children get involved with the drawing, to create a four-page comic, and engage with the lead character during certain parts of the narrative, such as when the story reaches its climax and they are encouraged to shout out Timothy Top’s battle cry Karamazov! at the top of their voices.

Sound constellations

max. 15

about 90 minutes

The intriguing C=O=N=S=T=E=L=L=A=T=I=O=N (I call your image to mind) that forms part of Cerith Wyn Evans’s exhibition is made up of special elements that emit sounds from distant stars in the galaxy, vibrations captured by radio-telescopes; these sounds are interwoven with the artist’s own musical soundtrack: let’s use his creation to invent our own polyphonic sound-mobile!
