Creative sessions for kids

Kids is a project that introduces families and children to contemporary art with instruments and ideas that arouse curiosity and an understanding of the thoughts and techniques of today’s artists, through materials and experiences that are new and different every time.

New activities and workshops for children and teens designed to explore and discover the temporary exhibitions, Anselm Kiefer's permanent installation, and eL Seed's new mural await you. Sign up for our newsletter to know more about all the activities!

FAMILY LAB | Checkmate (ages 7–10)

Play takes centre stage in Rirkrit Tiravanija’s exhibition, where we explore his works while twists and turns lead us through a bright and bewildering labyrinth. The children and adults will turn traditional pawns into fantastical creatures, and will ultimately create a giant chessboard. It’s a chance to play, laugh, and have fun together, using rules, strategies, and lots of imagination!

For Family Lab activities, online registration is also required for all accompanying adults who wish to participate.

Imagining the home as a space to be reinvented from scratch, the girls and boys will create their own dream houses through play, collage, and colour, building together a fantastical neighbourhood made just for them.

Knock-knock, Who’s there? (6-10 ages)

In Benni Bosetto’s exhibition, a fabric shaped like a large keyhole invites us into a space filled with many ‘doors’ that hold characters, objects, collected materials, and small sculptures, becoming thresholds to new worlds. Children, together with the museum’s Art Tutors, will be able to invent endless stories and characters, pairing them with their own unique and special door!

Adult supervision is not required during the activity. Please make reservations for participants only.
