Activities

During their visit to the exhibition, the boys and girls will see how Saodat Ismailova (b. 1981, Tashkent, Uzbekistan) has transformed the Shed at Pirelli HangarBicocca into an immersive visual and auditory landscape. Through her films, installations, and sculptures, natural elements such as the Amu Darya River, the Arslanbob forest, and the caves of the sacred Sulaiman-Too mountain are portrayed by means of dreams, stories, testimonies, and traditions passed down over the generations in the Central Asian regions. The children will be divided into groups during the workshop activities, where they will create composite landscapes that will change to reflect each child’s personal vision, perception, and story. This will reveal different, sometimes unexpected, viewpoints and interpretations.
