Luciano Fabro
Walk through the exhibition with Margit Rowell
12 November 2026 - at 7 PM
The Public Program of Pirelli HangarBicocca, dedicated to Luciano Fabro’s exhibition “Abitare lo spazio. Inhabiting Space” presents, on Thursday, November 12 at 7 PM, a walkthrough of the exhibition featuring Margit Rowell, curator and art historian. Rowell is one of the contributors to the exhibition catalogue and the author of “Luciano Fabro: Reinventing Sculpture”, the first monograph in English dedicated to the artist.
In direct dialogue with the artworks and following the exhibition path, Rowell will explore the processes through which Fabro helped redefine the language of contemporary sculpture, examining the relationship between the artwork and the space it inhabits. The event will offer an opportunity to delve into some of the central themes of the artist’s practice, including the origins and evolution of the “habitats” that form the core of the exhibition at Pirelli HangarBicocca; his relationship with art history, from antiquity to the Renaissance and Baroque; and his references to myth and memory.
The audience can listen to the talk through headphones while freely moving within the exhibition space.
The talk will be held in English, with simultaneous interpretation into Italian.
Reservations are available exclusively to Membership Card holders, subject to availability, starting from Thursday 5 November. To validate their Member accreditation, visitors must arrive at least 30 minutes before the event starts. Admission will not be permitted once the event has begun.
