“It was a pretty house, not very tall: With neither a kitchen, nor a wall!”

Activities
During the exhibition tour, the boys and girls will explore the work of Rirkrit Tiravanija, an artist who reflects on the ideas of home, shared spaces, and relationships. His works are places to be walked through, experienced, and changed. The focus here is on our collective, everyday experience of being together.

In the workshop, the children will imagine and build their own dream homes. We will start by thinking about domestic spaces in terms of shapes, colours, and functions. Each child will receive a cardboard house template to “furnish” and transform using collages, coloured paper, and graphic symbols. Finally, these homes will be placed side by side to create a shared, imaginary neighbourhood designed specifically for children.
