The Enigma of the Double – A Writing Workshop with Sandrone Dazieri

On Thursday 21 May, at 7.30 pm, HangarBicocca presents The Enigma of the Double. A writing workshop with Sandrone Dazieri, the first in a two-month series of events involving art and narrative.

Juan Muñoz, who liked to refer to himself as “a storyteller”, had a particular interest in enigmas and in the ability of words to conjure up fictitious scenarios. In the company of one of the best-established and most famous mystery writers in Italy, the spaces of the “Double Bind & Around” exhibition, which are inhabited by ambiguous, disorienting sculptures characterised by optical and perceptive illusions, provide the setting for a workshop on the ability of words to create imaginary worlds and realities.
The workshop, which is designed for adults and coordinated by the Education Department of HangarBicocca, is led by Sandrone Dazieri, an author famous for his novels and screenplays for the cinema and television. Taking inspiration from the elements and settings of the Juan Muñoz exhibition, he will accompany the public in the creation of a short mystery tale.
On this occasion, all those taking part are able to go on an exclusive guided tour of the Juan Muñoz exhibition together with Sandrone Dazieri and the curatorial staff of HangarBicocca.
