Sound performance by Eiko Ishibashi and Jim O’Rourke with Yuko Mohri
2 October 2025 - 7.00pm
The Public Program of Pirelli HangarBicocca dedicated to the exhibition “Entanglements” by Yuko Mohri presents, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 7 PM the sound performance by the musicians Eiko Ishibashi and Jim O’Rourke with Yuko Mohri.
The two renowned Japan-based musicians Eiko Ishibashi and Jim O’Rourke are invited by Yuko Mohri to collaborate in the special evening on a performance that activates the floor with improvisational and experimental sounds in dialogue with the works in the exhibition space. “Many experimental musicians including Eiko Ishibashi and Jim O’Rourke transform their artistic expression through improvisation. That’s the part that gives me the biggest thrill when watching a concert” Yuko Mohri says.
The sound performance will be a site-specific, improvisational installation piece, in which acoustic and electric sounds will intricately intertwine, reverberate, and amplify within the exhibition floor appropriately titled “Entanglements”.
