Happenings, collaborations, ephemeral works. Lecture by Annalisa Rimmaudo
The Public Program of Pirelli HangarBicocca dedicated to the retrospective of Jean Tinguely, presents, on Thursday 28 November 2024 at 7 PM, the lecture by Annalisa Rimmaudo “Happenings, collaborations, ephemeral works”.
Annalisa Rimmaudo, curator of contemporary art collections at the Centre Georges Pompidou, with the support of documents, films and images, will explore Jean Tinguely’s production of ephemeral and collaborative works, from Homage to New York to Étude pour une fin du monde, to La HON to the scenes for Roland Petit’s Éloge de la Folie. This appointment will delve into the most radical aspects of Tinguely’s research: his ability to build relationships and connections with other artists, musicians and intellectuals, overcoming the idea of authorship; his obstinacy to question the nature and value of the work, to challenge its musealization; and finally his desire to involve the public to make them participants in the creative process.
More information regarding reservation for the event will follow.
