Book signing of “Beware of Yourself” with Maurizio Cattelan

On the occasion of the release of Maurizio Cattelan’s new book “Beware of Yourself”, the artist signs copies of the book in the presence of the public on Tuesday 14 October 2025, from 6.00 PM to 8.30 PM in Pirelli HangarBicocca. The volume (Pirelli HangarBicocca, Milan, Marsilio Arte, Venice 2025) brings together Maurizio Cattelan’s thoughts on his own works, exhibitions, projects, and recurring concepts in over 40 years of artistic research. The texts in the book take shape from Cattelan’s words, taken from over three hundred interviews given over time, then broken down and reassembled in a new form in a first-person portrait narrated with irony.
The nine autographed contributions signed by Cattelan are accompanied by an iconographic and descriptive apparatus of selections of works, exhibitions, or special projects, presented chronologically and also narrated by the artist’s voice.

The publication “Beware of Yourself” follows the artist’s solo exhibition “Breath Ghosts Blind”, presented in Pirelli HangarBicocca from 15 July 2021 to 20 February 2022. The exhibition was accompanied by the related catalogue (2021) and it was followed by the publication “INDEX” (2022), a collection of all Maurizio Cattelan’s interviews and conversations with artists, intellectuals, creatives, and personalities from the world of entertainment. Both publications are published by Pirelli HangarBicocca and Marsilio Arte.

On Tuesday 14 October the temporary exhibitions “This Will Not End Well” by Nan Goldin and “Entanglements” by Yuko Mohri remain open to the public until 9.00 PM.
