Book presentation “Castello di Ama: Diligence and light”

On Friday 28 November 2025 at 7.00 PM Pirelli HangarBicocca hosts the book presentation “Castello di Ama: Diligence and light”. The volume, edited by Steidl, celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Castello di Ama Collection, located in the eighteenth-century hamlet Ama in the province of Siena, among the company’s production spaces and vineyards. Photographs by Aurelio Amendola and texts by Bruno Corà narrate the site-specific contemporary artworks by Daniel Buren, Giulio Paolini, Kendell Geers, Anish Kapoor, Chen Zhen, Carlos Garaicoa, Nedko Solakov, Cristina Iglesias, Louise Bourgeois, Ilya ed Emilia Kabakov, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Lee Ufan, Roni Horn, Mirosław Bałka, Jenny Holzer and Giorgio Andreotta Calò.

The event will feature artists Mirosław Bałka and Giorgio Andreotta Calò, who have recently created permanent works at Castello di Ama and previously exhibited solo shows at Pirelli HangarBicocca. Vicente Todolí, Artistic Director of Pirelli HangarBicocca, and Aurelio Amendola, photographer, will also take part in the event.
