Creative sessions for kids

Kids is a project that introduces families and children to contemporary art with instruments and ideas that arouse curiosity and an understanding of the thoughts and techniques of today’s artists, through materials and experiences that are new and different every time.

On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 December
Pirelli HangarBicocca offers free activities to explore the themes and artworks of the exhibition dedicated to Jean Tinguely:
- creative sessions of experimentation in theatrical practice for kids 6-10 years old (booking required) curated by actress and singer Virginia ZIni
- a multi-sensory activity open to all throughout the weekend designed by illustrator and artist Anna Resmini

From Gears to Movement (7-10 years)

How do you make a mechanical sculpture and how does it work? What can it do? Come and explore Jean Tinguely’s moving artworks, and have fun yourself using gears and mechanisms to make your very own playful, animated robots. And with the Pirelli HangarBicocca arts tutors, you can give your creations funny looks.

Come into the exciting world of sound and movement created by the machines, objects, lights, and gears of the kinetic sculptures made by the great artist Jean Tinguely.
