The string quartet is composed of young French musicians coming from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon and nine of the Cellists of the Cello Bologna Project, a group of young musicians from the Conservatorio GB Martini in Bologna.
After Polvere in Paris (Monument / Grand Palais) and Alba in New York (Park Avenue Armory), this project Milan / Bologna offers an Italian and French work, connecting young musicians from two different conservatories and a famous cellist soloist to play pieces by French composers within Christian Boltanski’s installation, in cooperation with two important museums.
After Milan, on September 25th, another concert will take place in Bologna at the Museum for the Memory of Ustica, with the same ensemble called Fuga.
Plein Jour produces the two concerts with the collaboration of Fondi d’Azione Sacem, Fondi di dotazione agnès b, Culture France, Delegazione culturale dell’Ambasciata di Francia in Bologna, Conservatorio “G. Martini” in Bologna.
