With Art in the Head. An evening of young art at HangarBicocca

Sixty kids from 7 to 12 years old, three artists, tens of artworks invading the spaces of HangarBicocca: With Art in the Head. An evening of young art at HangarBicocca is the event that will take place on Thursday July 11th from 6.30pm till 9pm, which is dedicated to the description of the collaboration with three young Italian artists of the new and last generation, whom have been involved in the activities of the summer camps organized by the HB Kids Educational Department.

During the evening the artists Lupo Borgonovo, Moira Ricci and Giulio Squillacciotti will narrate their own experience with the kids. The evening starts with the report of how – thanks to the artists’ gaze – the kids have approached in a simple and immediate way complex concepts such as the ability of photography to reinvent the past, the relationship between fiction and reality, and the disguise as a way of narrating oneself.

The three artists together with the HB Kids Arts Tutors have gone along the kids in a voyage in the discovery of Mike Kelley, of his exhibition and of some of his favorite themes, such as the disguise or the regain of personal and collective memory. The event will finish with the visit to the exhibition of the artworks realized by the kids, and with a party moment open to adults and children. And the artworks will be exposed in the spaces of HangarBicocca all week long.
