Special Projects/

Projects and visions of independent art in Milan.

On Thursday 16 January, from 6 to 8 PM, Pirelli HangarBicocca and Università degli Studi Milano-Bicocca present a seminar taking stock of the first three years of the Milano Re-Mapped project.

The symposium is an opportunity to reflect on a three-year project, supported by Fondazione Cariplo, that has seen Pirelli HangarBicocca collaborate with the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, through two instruments: a research observatory that analyzed the panorama of independent art projects in the Milan area and a summer festival in the spaces of Pirelli HangarBicocca that involved some of the city’s most important curatorial and artistic spaces.

The symposium presents the results of the research and opens a reflection on perspectives, scenarios, and visions for the creation of a dialogue between institutions, independent spaces, and the fabric of the city.

With: Giovanna Amadasi, Alessandro Bianchi, Marianna D’Ovidio, Janet Merkel, Rebecca Moccia e Federica Verona.
