Leonor Antunes

The conversation between Leonor Antunes and the art historian Briony Fer, chaired by the exhibition curator Roberta Tenconi, sets out from the works in the show “the last days in Galliate”, which serve as a visual and thematic backdrop for a reflection on the protagonists of the art, architecture, and design that have inspired the artist. These include Franca Helg and Franco Albini, Clara Porset and Annie Albers, Gio Ponti and Mary Martin: starting from these figures, the conversation will open up to address a broader analysis of themes such as the contamination between art, design and crafts, and the role of women in the Modernist movement.
Briony Fer art historian, critic and curator, teaches at University College in London. She curated the major retrospective dedicated to Anni Albers currently on show at the Tate Modern in London.
