ART on Sundays – Anselm Kiefer: A New Dialogue between Sculpture and Painting
22 November 2015 – 5.30pm
ART on Sundays is back with a new series of meetings on the history of art, this time looking at the “Casino” exhibition by Damián Ortega and Anselm Kiefer’s “The Seven Heavenly Palaces” permanent installation.
On display for the first time, five large paintings from between 2009 and 2013 enrich and expand The Seven Heavenly Palaces, the permanent work by Anselm Kiefer, interacting with the installation and giving it new meaning. An in-depth analysis of Kiefer’s artistic practice reflects on the core aspects of his work, including the relationship between man and nature, and references to the history of ideas and Western philosophy.
