Museum mediation is a way of interacting based on constant dialogue among staff in the exhibition spaces and visitors. Through listening and interaction, cultural mediators relate to the public in the exhibition spaces to foster learing and to invite to an open relationship with art. Museum mediation is a free service continuously available in Pirelli HangarBicocca's temporary exhibitions and permanent installation's spaces.

Museum mediators are professional figures with a degree in artistic disciplines and with a specific education in foreign languages and in the communication of contents to a wide range of public typologies. Mediators answer visitors' questions and facilitate, through conversation with small groups or individuals, an open and curious attitude towards contemporary art. Furthermore they nurture reflections and investigations on artworks and artists.

Museum mediators, who are always available in the exhibition spaces and can be easily identified by the institutional clothing, conduct guided tours on scheduled times or on demand. Moreover, they periodically arrange activities to introduce the public to the context and the contents of Pirelli HangarBicocca's exhibition projects.
