The most extensive monograph on Thao Nguyen Phan\u2019s work is published in conjunction with her solo exhibition at Pirelli HangarBicocca. The volume delves into Phan\u2019s practice by highlighting her distinctive approach to the relationship between moving image, drawing and installation, and presents a wide selection of works made from 2013 to the present. The catalog includes extensive photographic documentation of all the works installed in the exhibition, along with critical texts and thematic insights. These include an essay on the relationship between video and nature in the artist’s work by art historian Filipa Ramos, a text by curator Roger Nelson that contextualizes Phan’s work with the architecture and art scene of Southeast Asia, and an interview by the curators on the exhibition.
