Trained in traditional Chinese dance and visual arts, she integrates performance and sensory exploration into her art, focusing on food as a medium for emotion, communication and social observation. Her work sits at the point where food, design and socio-cultural research all come together, exploring themes such as territoriality, ecology, migration and intercultural identity through participatory and performative projects. Living in Europe, she constantly reimagines traditional cultural elements and builds co-creative relationships with local communities to design authentic, mindful and socially responsible food experiences.<\/em>\n<em><strong>Monika Dattner<br \/>\n<\/strong>Monika lives and works in Milan as a graphic designer and illustrator. Alongside her work in visual identity and web design, she illustrates children&#8217;s books and creates watercolour designs for postage stamps. For years, she has run workshops in line, drawing and watercolour for both adults and children, as well as live botanical sketch-mobs, graphics workshops inspired by organic elements, and rapid life-drawing sessions. During Milan Drawing Week, her workshops for the Collezione Ramo explore ways of overcoming fears and inhibitions, unlocking creative gestures and technical possibilities.<\/em>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tPrevious editions\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tEdu Summer 2025\nFrom June 9 to July 6, the Pirelli HangarBicocca Educational Department presents <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"81\">Edu Summer 2025<\/b>, a calendar of free events inspired by the ongoing exhibitions. These creative journeys are held in Italian Sign Language (LIS) with spoken Italian interpretation; they are free, open to all, inclusive, and accessible to deaf signers.\n<em><b data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Corps Citoyen \u0627\u0644\u062c\u0633\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0648\u0627\u0637\u0646<\/b><\/em>\n<em>A collective platform founded by Anna Serlenga and Rabii Brahim in 2013 in Tunis, dedicated to creating shared multidisciplinary projects and individual works in collaboration with other artists and professionals; it has been based in Milan since 2018. In 2020, it launched a decolonial-oriented performance research project. Since 2022, the collective has been associated with Base Milano (2022-2024) and, since 2023, with the European platform IN SITU. In parallel, it runs the curatorial project Milano Mediterranea, which began in 2020.<\/em>\n<em><b data-path-to-node=\"15\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Davide Tedesco<\/b><\/em>\n<em>A musician, music educator, and music therapist who uses sound and music as resources capable of amplifying experiences of self-development, learning, and well-being within cultural, school, training, and therapeutic contexts. To create pathways for expression and the development of personal potential, he founded <b data-path-to-node=\"15\" data-index-in-node=\"330\">My Music Skills\u00a9<\/b>, a project that aims to impact the motor, emotional, and cognitive dimensions of the individual, using musical intelligence and sonic identity as tools to achieve non-musical goals.<\/em>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tEdu Summer 2024\n\t\t\t<p><strong>Edu Summer 2024<\/strong> is a calendar of events for children aged 6 to 11, featuring weekday <strong>summer camps<\/strong> and a series of <strong>free weekend workshops for families, along with special activities open to everyone<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>Taking place from June 10 to 30, 2024, in the indoor and outdoor spaces of Pirelli HangarBicocca, Edu Summer 2024 is inspired by the temporary exhibitions<a href=\"https:\/\/pirellihangarbicocca.org\/en\/exhibition\/chiara-camoni\/\">\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Call and Gather, Sisters, Moths and Flame twisters. Lioness Bones, Snakes and Stones.&#8221;\u00a0by Chiara Camoni<\/strong> <\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pirellihangarbicocca.org\/en\/exhibition\/nari-ward\/\"><strong>&#8220;Ground Break&#8221;\u00a0by Nari Ward<\/strong><\/a>, set up in the museum&#8217;s Shed and Navate spaces.<\/p>\n<p>The summer camps, titled\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Eserciti di terracotta&#8221;<\/strong>,\u00a0are created in collaboration with artist <strong>Chiara Camoni<\/strong> and the collective from the Centro di Sperimentazione. They guide children in discovering the secrets of terracotta and the natural world.<\/p>\n<p>On the weekends of June 15-16 and 22-23, family workshops are led by botanist <strong>Anna Roberti<\/strong>, who-drawing inspiration from the natural elements in Camoni&#8217;s works-creates watercolors and colored chalks using plant materials and various types of clay. Artist Justin <strong>Randolph Thompson<\/strong> also leads workshops exploring sound and collaboration, inspired by his performances created for Nari Ward&#8217;s\u00a0&#8220;Ground Break&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the workshops, Roberti and Thompson have designed special activities open to all, available throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Chiara Camoni <\/em><\/strong><em>primarily works with drawing, sculpture, plant-based printing, and video to explore the expression of thought through form and the collective generation of meaning. Her works are tied to the idea of flow and fusion within the basic dimension of everyday life, where the current of daily experience pauses and emerges in meaningful, autonomous forms. Chiara&#8217;s artworks are often created in collaboration with friends and family-members of what can be described as her extended studio or &#8220;center of experimentation.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Anna Roberti<\/em><\/strong><em>, with a degree in Natural Sciences, describes herself as a &#8220;botanist of colors, ruins, and the wild&#8221; due to her ability to draw inspiration from plants observed in a wide range of environments, from forests to city sidewalks. Since 2006, she has specialized in experimenting with natural colors and leading artistic and scientific workshops for both adults and children, collaborating with museums and schools.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Justin Randolph Thompson <\/em><\/strong><em>(United States, 1979) is a new media artist, cultural facilitator, and educator who has lived between Italy and the United States since 1999. Thompson is the co-founder and director of Black History Month Florence, a multifaceted exploration of Afro-descendant cultures within the Italian context, founded in 2016 and later reorganized under the name The Recovery Plan.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tEdu Summer 2023\n\t\t\t<p><strong>Edu Summer 2023<\/strong> is a calendar of events for children aged 6 to 11, featuring weekday <strong>summer camps<\/strong> and a series of <strong>free weekend workshops for families, along with special activities open to everyone<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>Edu Summer 2023, held from June 11 to 30, 2023, in the spaces of Pirelli HangarBicocca and the Bicocca neighborhood, was inspired by the exhibition <a href=\"https:\/\/pirellihangarbicocca.org\/en\/exhibition\/ann-veronica-janssens\/\"><strong>&#8220;Grand Bal&#8221; by Ann Veronica Janssens<\/strong><\/a>. Through the use of light, color, mirrors, air, and artificial fog, her works alter the perception of space and architecture, inviting visitors to experience reality with all their senses.<\/p>\n<p>The summer camp project, developed in collaboration with artist <strong>Rebecca Moccia<\/strong>, is titled <strong>&#8220;Mappa del Paese delle Emozioni&#8221;<\/strong> and centers on the idea that the spaces around us-their surfaces, sounds, temperature, functions, and history-possess emotional qualities that can evoke specific sensations or feelings in those who explore them.<\/p>\n<p>On the weekends of June 10-11, 17-18, and 24-25, the workshops are led by <strong>Marcella Fanzaga<\/strong>, a movement educator and choreographer, who teaches participants how to explore the exhibition not only with their eyes but with their entire body, and by <strong>Andrea Capozucca<\/strong>, a mathematician and science communicator, who explores the connection between art and the five senses through creative games and experiments.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the workshops, Fanzaga and Capozucca have also designed <strong>special activities open to everyone, available throughout the day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Rebecca Moccia<\/em><\/strong><em>, in her transdisciplinary practice, explores the materiality of perceptive and emotional states that can arise from specific characteristics of physical and social space. Her works have been exhibited solo and group shows at various institutions. In 2021, she received the international research grant from the Italian Council program (Ministero della Cultura, DGCC). She is one of the founding members of AWI &#8211; Art Workers Italia, an association that advocates for the rights of art workers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Marcella Fanzaga <\/em><\/strong><em>is a psychomotor therapist, somatic movement educator, and developmental movement specialist. She is also a dance author, teacher, choreographer, and independent performer. A graduate of SNDO (School for New Dance Development) in Amsterdam, she integrates Body-Mind Centering\u00ae with the poetry of movement, offering experiential paths and sensory-motor practices to support artistic, educational, and caregiving professions.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Andrea Capozucca<\/em><\/strong><em> holds a PhD in Complexity Science and a degree in Mathematics. He teaches Mathematics and Physics at the &#8220;Leonardo da Vinci&#8221; high school in Civitanova Marche and Scientific Communication Techniques at the University of Camerino. For over fifteen years, he has worked in educational research, training, and science communication, with a particular focus on the connections between mathematics and the arts. He is the scientific director of FermHAmente and the scientific coordinator of Labilia. He also collaborates with The Bridges Organization &#8211; Mathematics, Art, Music, Architecture, Culture, with Mondadori as an author for Focus Scuola, with Josway as curator of the Art&amp;Science column, and with other national magazines and blogs.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tEdu Summer 2022\n\t\t\t<p><strong>Edu Summer 2022<\/strong> is a calendar of events for children aged 6 to 11, featuring weekday <strong>summer camps<\/strong> and a series of <strong>free weekend workshops for families, along with special activities open to everyone<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>Edu Summer 2022, held from June 11 to July 3, 2022, in the spaces of Pirelli HangarBicocca and the Bicocca neighborhood, was inspired by the exhibition <strong>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/pirellihangarbicocca.org\/en\/exhibition\/anicka-yi\/\">Metaspore&#8221; by Anicka Yi<\/a><\/strong>, which explores the relationship between art and science.<\/p>\n<p>The new summer camp project, titled <strong>&#8220;Tuttoattaccato&#8221;<\/strong>, is conceived and developed by the artistic duo <strong>The Cool Couple<\/strong> together with the Arts Tutors of Pirelli HangarBicocca. It revolves around the idea of an ecosystem in which everything around us is connected and interlinked.<\/p>\n<p>On the weekends of June 11-12, June 18-19, and July 2-3, the workshops are led by <strong>Agnese Sonato<\/strong>, a science communicator who guides participants in the exploration of the infinitely small and what cannot be seen with the naked eye, and by <strong>Roberto Sartor<\/strong>, an expert in education and experiential learning, who led a true exploration of the natural environment surrounding Pirelli HangarBicocca.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the workshops, Sonato and Sartor have also designed special activities open to everyone, available throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Cool Couple (TCC) <\/em><\/strong><em>is an artist duo based in Milan, founded in 2012 by Niccol\u00f2 Benetton (1986) and Simone Santilli (1987). Their research focuses on the everyday relationship between people and images and, through a multidisciplinary approach, analyzes how these influence our ways of thinking, seeing, and acting in the world. TCC teach at NABA, Milan, and are Course Leaders of the Visual Arts program at MADE Program, Syracuse.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Agnese Sonato<\/em><\/strong><em> works in science communication, especially for children, schools, and families. After working for a few years in research in the field of nanotechnologies for biomedical applications, she founded the science magazine for children PLaNCK! and the science communication association Accatagliato, through which she organizes activities for young people, schools, and families, and manages cultural projects that connect science and art. She collaborates with the University of Padua, curating children&#8217;s book series &#8220;Storie libere&#8221; and &#8220;I libri dell&#8217;orto,&#8221; published by Carthusia Edizioni and Editoriale Scienza respectively. In 2018 and 2019, she collaborated with Radio24 on the program &#8220;Terra in vista &#8211; la scienza e la tecnologia spiegate a mio figlio,&#8221; hosted by Federico Taddia and Telmo Pievani. She is co-author, with Telmo Pievani, of the book &#8220;Giganti per davvero&#8221; (Editoriale Scienza, 2020) and &#8220;Tanti esperimenti STEM&#8221; (Editoriale Scienza, 2022). She also works in training in the field of science communication for children and contributes to the writing of texts and educational videos for Giunti Scuola. In autumn 2021, she was a co-host scientist on the RAI Gulp show &#8220;La Banda dei Fuoriclasse.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roberto Sartor<\/strong> works in experiential education related to natural and cultural heritage. He is an environmental hiking guide and in 2015 founded Selvatica Esplorazioni, an educational project that involves children, young people, families, and teachers in discovering hidden natural places, encouraging curiosity and using it as a tool for growth. He lives in Pennabilli, in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, where he founded Chiocciola la casa del nomade, a social promotion association that brings together young professionals and others in projects that enhance the territory and its communities. He collaborates with the Sasso Simone and Simoncello Natural Park in various outreach activities and in managing the Musss, Museo naturalistico e Centro di Educazione Ambientale e alla Sostenibilit\u00e0, a natural history museum and center for environmental and sustainability education.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tEdu Summer 2021\n\t\t\t<p><strong>Edu Summer 2021<\/strong> is a calendar of events for children aged 6 to 11, featuring weekday <strong>summer camps<\/strong> and a series of <strong>free weekend workshops for families, along with special activities open to everyone<\/strong>!<br \/>Edu Summer 2021, from June 5 to July 4, 2021, in the spaces of Pirelli HangarBicocca and the Bicocca neighborhood, is inspired by the exhibitions <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pirellihangarbicocca.org\/en\/exhibition\/neil-beloufa\/\">&#8220;Digital Mourning&#8221; by Ne\u00efl Beloufa<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pirellihangarbicocca.org\/en\/exhibition\/chen-zhen\/\">&#8220;Short-circuits&#8221; by Chen Zhen<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For the summer camps, Pirelli HangarBicocca proposes two programs that, drawing inspiration from the exhibition &#8220;Digital Mourning&#8221; by Ne\u00efl Beloufa, explore the languages of cinema and storytelling, together with visual artist <strong>Rachele Maistrello<\/strong> and the filmmaking duo <strong>Kinonauts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On the weekends of June 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, 26-27, and July 3-4, the workshops involve and are led by dancers <strong>Umberto Gesi<\/strong> and <strong>Roberta Piazza<\/strong>, who explore the installations through fun activities related to dance and movement; writer <strong>Francesco Gungui<\/strong>, who helps bring a story to life and create cards with the characters that animate it; musician <strong>Davide Tedesco<\/strong>, with whom participants create their own musical instrument; and illustrator <strong>Marco Zambelli<\/strong>, who creates a story using drawings made by the participants.<\/p>\n<p>The Edu Summer 2021 project concludes with an <strong>outdoor film screening<\/strong> <strong>open to everyone<\/strong>. On this occasion, the projects created during the various camps and workshops are presented, along with a selection of films curated by the participating artists.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Rachele Maistrello <\/em><\/strong><em>(Conegliano, 1986) is an Italian artist who studied at IUAV in Venice, the \u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure des Beaux-arts in Paris, and ZHDK (Z\u00fcrcher Hochschule der K\u00fcnste) in Zurich. Her work draws on microcosms, small marginal stories, and rediscovered rituals, using photography, performance, written texts, and websites. In 2020, she won the Graziadei Prize and the Art4Future Prize from Unicredit, and was an artist in residence at the Mambo museum (Nuovo Forno del Pane).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Kinonauts<\/em><\/strong><em> is a filmmaking duo founded in 2014 in Venice, composed of Matteo Primiterra (1985) and Matteo Stocco (1986). Their research focuses on observing dynamics of contemporary society through a hybrid cinematic approach, incorporating elements of video art and documentary across various digital platforms. They have taught at IUAV Venice and Ca&#8217; Foscari and participated in several international artist residencies. He holds a degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences and is intrigued by various forms of artistic expression. He works as a freelance collaborator on numerous projects, including the recent activation performance of the work &#8220;Jue Chang, Dancing Body &#8211; Drumming Mind (The Last Song)&#8221; by Chen Zhen for Pirelli HangarBicocca. As a performer, he collaborates with the companies Naturalis Labor in Vicenza, Anonima Teatri, and Cie Twain in Tuscania.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Roberta Piazza<\/em><\/strong><em> studies contemporary dance in Milan at Artichoke formazione danza ricerca and continues her training with the company Deos, of which she becomes a member. He is a co-founder and double bassist of the NefEsh trio and has played in various ensembles across classical, jazz, pop, ethnic, world, and improvised music. In 2016, he created Unconventionalspaces, a project centered on the potential of sound beyond music, and in the same year composed original music for the short film &#8220;Thankyou Rebbe&#8221; by director Daniel Vital.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Marco Zambelli<\/em><\/strong><em> (Bergamo, 1992) is an illustrator who graduated from the International School of Comics in 2015. He has created illustrations for publishing and television and collaborated as a designer with event agencies. From 2017 to 2019, he conducted courses and workshops for the WOW Comic Museum in Milan and various schools in the province.
