Educare a una cittadinanza plurale attraverso l&#8217;arte contemporanea\t<\/h1>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web-assets-hangarbicocca.pirelli.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/banner_ISMU-1-800x351.png\" alt=\"banner_ISMU\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"351\" width=\"800\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n<p>Training course for second-grade secondary school teachers<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Pirelli HangarBicocca Educational Department<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ismu.org\/\"><strong>Fondazione ISMU-Initiatives and Studies on Multi-ethnicity<\/strong><\/a> presented a training course for <strong>second-grade secondary school<\/strong>\u00a0teachers, entitled\u00a0<strong><em>Cortocircuiti. Educare a una cittadinanza plurale attraverso l&#8217;arte contemporanea\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(<em>Short-circuits: Educating towards Inclusive Citizenship through Contemporary Art<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>The course consisted of five meetings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first one examined <strong>heritage education from an intercultural perspective<\/strong>, as a transformative approach that encourages interaction, exchange, the questioning of one&#8217;s own knowledge and cultural certainties, the formulation of different interpretations of the world we live in, and the acknowledgement of our own multiple identities.<\/li>\n<li>In the second one, the teachers were given a digital guided tour of the exhibition <strong>&#8220;Short-circuits&#8221;<\/strong> by the artist <strong>Chen Zhen<\/strong>, which revolved around the concept of <em>transexperiences<\/em>: the artist himself described this is the experience one has &#8220;when one leaves the land where one was born and one moves from one place to another&#8221;, but also, in more general terms, &#8220;the fact of immersing oneself in life, blending into it and identifying with others.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>The third and fourth meetings were devoted to the <strong>participatory planning of courses<\/strong>\u00a0in class groups, based on the knowledge and skill sets acquired in the previous meetings, as well as on the teachers&#8217; previous experiences.<\/li>\n<li>The fifth and final meeting consisted of a <strong>discussion<\/strong>\u00a0on the results achieved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The themes of the exhibition, which also include reflections on apparently contradictory ideas and states (tradition and modernity, centre and periphery, spirituality and consumerism), help foster greater understanding of\u00a0<strong>a variety of disciplines, in addition to that of art history<\/strong>.
