\n\t\n\tOn 14 and 15 February 2026<\/strong>, the Education Department of Pirelli Hangar Bicocca presents a special Winter is Coming! <\/strong>programme. On this occasion, the illustrator Giulia Pastorino <\/strong>will lead a series of free workshops in which children aged five and over<\/strong> will explore and discover Anselm Kiefer<\/strong>‘s permanent <\/strong>installation. They will do so through observation<\/strong>, listening <\/strong>and drawing<\/strong>, and in a participatory activity <\/strong>that is open to all visitors.<\/p>\n During the workshops, Giulia Pastorino <\/strong>will assist participants as they observe lines, solids and voids, details and materials<\/strong>, encouraging them to reflect on how it feels to walk around Kiefer’s monumental towers. After an animated reading <\/strong>of the book Se fossi Ugo<\/em>, the children will be able to experiment and play with a variety of artistic techniques<\/strong>, and discover how a single mark is itself a drawing, capable of telling a story and conveying sensations. To conclude, the participants will create portrait masks <\/strong>to showcase their personality and uniqueness.<\/p>\n Participation in the workshops is free, but online booking is required.<\/strong><\/p>\n On both 14 and 15 February<\/strong>, all visitors are also invited to take part in CoinVOLTI<\/strong>, a participatory activity <\/strong>conceived by Giulia Pastorino<\/strong>, who has drawn a multitude of empty faces that are ready to be filled by the imagination and creativity of the public.<\/p>\n No booking is required. Everyone <\/strong>is encouraged to leave a mark, a detail, a shape, to create a whole crowd of totally original characters that tell the story of a temporary community through a collective artwork.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nSunday 15 February | 11 a.m. <\/p>\nSaturday 14 and Sunday 15 February <\/p>\n The Education Department of Pirelli HangarBicocca,\u00a0on December 21 and 22, 2024<\/strong>, proposes the special program\u00a0“Winter is coming!”<\/strong>: the duo composed of\u00a0Anna Resmini<\/strong>, illustrator and creative, and\u00a0Virginia Zini<\/strong>, actress and singer, presents\u00a0free workshops for children aged 6 to 10<\/strong>\u00a0designed to explore and discover the works in Jean Tinguely’s exhibition through\u00a0theatrical experimentation<\/strong>\u00a0and a\u00a0multisensory activity open to all visitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n During the workshops,\u00a0Virginia Zini<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Anna Resmini<\/strong>\u00a0guide participants in discovering how to move and resonate their bodies in a fun and playful way through\u00a0theatrical practice<\/strong>. Inspired by\u00a0Jean Tinguely<\/strong><\/a>‘s moving sculptures, children transform into magical gears that, connected together, give life to a single large machine made of voices, sounds, shapes, and colors.<\/p>\n Additionally, on December 21 and 22, a\u00a0multisensory activity<\/strong>\u00a0is offered to all visitors, designed by\u00a0Anna Resmini and Virginia Zini<\/strong>, who created a large mechanical device with a\u00a0special conductive paint<\/strong>\u00a0that\u00a0emits sounds and noises when touched with fingers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n All visitors\u00a0<\/strong>are invited to\u00a0experiment with this special technological material<\/strong>\u00a0and bring it to life with their imagination and creativity.<\/p>\n Anna Resmini\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>lives between Milan and Lisbon. She holds a degree in Art History and deepens her passion for illustration at the School of Visual Art in New York. She works for newspapers and magazines, publishing houses, creates animations, and develops creative projects and installations. She loves experimenting with new techniques and challenging herself with new tasks. Her aesthetic is based on the dialogue between digital and analog.<\/em><\/p>\n Virginia Zini\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is an actress and singer. She earned her diploma from the Master in Social and Community Theatre at the University of Turin with a thesis on vocality in social contexts. She continues her theatrical training with various directors and trainers and studies singing and vocal training. She has a strong collaboration with the ATIR Company as an actress, workshop leader, and coordinator of social projects. She has always worked in theatre education with different groups.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWinter is Coming! 2023\n\t\t\t The Education Department of Pirelli HangarBicocca, on December 16 and 17<\/strong>, presents the special program “Winter is coming!”: free workshops for children aged 7 and up and their families <\/strong>designed to explore and discover the works of Thao Nguyen Phan<\/strong><\/a> through the unique characteristics of watercolor technique.<\/p>\n At the beginning of each workshop, all participants have the chance to watch painter and illustrator Alessandro Sanna<\/strong> paint live, who then guides them step by step into the world of watercolors, revealing some painter’s secrets. Inspired by the exhibition “Reincarnations of Shadows”<\/strong>, children and families practice using only water and brushes on a special “magic paper” and then create their own watercolor composed of colors and black silhouettes.<\/p>\n Alessandro Sanna <\/strong>imagines a long river made of paper waiting to be animated by visitors. Inspired by Thao Nguyen Phan’s exhibition, visitors can enrich the trace left by Sanna with a black marker and lots of imagination or experiment with the “magic paper” using water and a brush.<\/p>\n Alessandro Sanna<\/em><\/strong> (Nogara, 1975) is a painter and illustrator. He lives and works in Mantua and teaches Drawing and Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. He is one of the leading names in contemporary Italian and international illustration. He has collaborated with dozens of writers and publishers, and his illustrated books have been translated and published in Germany, Spain, Japan, the United States, and other countries. His work has earned him three Andersen Awards, including “Best Illustrator” for “Hai mai visto Mondrian?” (Artebambini, 2006), and a nomination in 2016 for the Hans Christian Andersen Award.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWinter is Coming! 2022\n\t\t\t The Education Department of Pirelli HangarBicocca, on December 17 and 18<\/strong>, presents the special program “Winter is coming!”: two free workshops in two sessions for children aged 6 to 10<\/strong> and their families designed to explore and discover the works of Dineo Seshee Bopape<\/strong><\/a> through creative processes related to poetry, words, rhythm, and music, and through experimentation with natural materials.<\/p>\n Inspired by the exhibition “Born in the first light of the morning [moswara’marapo]”<\/strong> poet Fedou\u00e0 El Attari<\/strong> combines words and natural materials to create new forms of poetry with multisensory characteristics; musicians Magatte Dieng<\/strong> and Elena Russo<\/strong> embark on a magical journey into the heart of African traditions, made of tribal sounds, songs, and dances.<\/p>\n Fedou\u00e0 El Attari<\/strong> is a poet and cultural curator of “PoeTerapy: the word as healing through listening.” After studying Architecture, exhibition design, and museum setup, she curates and promotes cultural events in museums, educational, socio-urban, and editorial contexts.<\/em><\/p>\n Ablaye Magatte Dieng<\/em><\/strong>, born in Dakar, is a musician and percussionist. He descends from a great family of Griots, the storytellers, entertainers, musicians, and artists of Senegalese society who still pass down their culture orally. He leads various music projects and is the founder and artistic director of the Cultural Association Tamra. He organizes festivals, events, shows, and courses in African dance and percussion in venues and schools in Turin.<\/em><\/p>\n Elena Russo<\/em><\/strong> is a Kora player and luthier. After years of studying piano, she dedicated herself to African percussion and later to the kora, a traditional plucked string instrument of the Mandinka ethnic group, mainly played by Griots. Over the years, Elena became passionate about building her own instruments-koras, n’gonis, and djemb\u00e9s. She teaches, leads kora workshops, and performs as a street artist.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWinter is Coming! 2021\n\t\t\t The Education Department of Pirelli HangarBicocca, on December 12, 18, and 19<\/strong>, presents three free workshops for children aged 6 to 10 designed to explore and discover the works of Maurizio Cattelan<\/strong><\/a> through creative processes related to movement, sound, and storytelling.<\/p>\n Inspired by the exhibition “Breath Ghosts Blind<\/strong>,” the duo Luci su Marte<\/strong> explores the relationship between the artworks and the exhibition space through body language; musician Davide Tedesco<\/strong> investigates what lies within silence between emotions and memories to experiment and become aware of our sonic identity; writer Francesco Gungui<\/strong> creates stories with participants using a new and original deck of cards inspired by the evocative scenography of the exhibition.<\/p>\n Luci su Marte<\/em><\/strong> is an independent project curated by Lucia Sauro, dancer and performer, and Marta Tedolfi, museum educator. Together, they explore new ways of experiencing and interpreting art through research focused on the body and movement. By integrating their personal skills in two distinct yet closely related languages, they have developed a series of workshops in collaboration with museum institutions and cultural associations.<\/em><\/p>\n
