“Traces of Time in Space” (upper)
"Grand Bal" by Ann Veronica Janssen
Introduction
The artist Ann Veronica Janssens creates works in which the themes of travel and movement, and the traces that they leave over time, are coupled with scientific experiments into materials and techniques that are always different and that revolve around the very essence of light.
Focus areas
• Science
• Art and image
Educational aims and activities
After exploring the exhibition, the students will be able to communicate the perceptive and bodily experience they had in the exhibition, using light-sensitive and thermochromic materials in which time and the visitor’s body “infiltrate” each other, leaving traces as they do so.
