“Images of Light”
"Grand Bal" by Ann Veronica Janssen
Introduction
Ann Veronica Janssens creates works of art in which research, experimentation and perception interact with each other to make the invisible visible, always using new and different techniques and materials. She creates these works by bringing together the languages of art, science and architecture, creating scenarios that focus on the visitor’s experience in space and time.
Focus areas
• Science
• Art and image
Educational aims and activities
After exploring the exhibition, the students will explore the mechanism of vision in the human eye and the visible spectrum, and they will try their hand at a series of experiments into visual perception, to find out how art and science can together create something unique and unpredictable.
