“Grand Ball – Everyone’s Invited!” (final year)
"Grand Bal" by Ann Veronica Janssen
Introduction
A key role in Ann Veronica Janssens’ art is played by serendipity – the ability or the good fortune to make unexpected and fortunate discoveries simply by chance, especially in the world of science, while actually looking for something else. She thus creates her works using a combination of very different elements that belong as much to the world of art as to that of science.
Focus areas
• Images, sounds, colours
• The body and movement
• Languages, creativity, expression
Educational aims and activities
After exploring the exhibition, the children will put on and take centre stage in a “grand ball”, in which rhythm, tempo, light, colour and movement will come together quite randomly, creating an unpredictable choreography for an irresistible dance.
