CREATIVE SESSIONS FOR KIDS
Kids is a project that introduces families and children to contemporary art with instruments and ideas that arouse curiosity and an understanding of the thoughts and techniques of today’s artists, through materials and experiences that are new and different every time.
On Saturdays and Sundays, Pirelli HangarBicocca offers activities and workshops that let children and young people discover and explore Thao Nguyen Phan's and James Lee Byars' temporary exhibitions and Anselm Kiefer's permanent installation.

The Secret Intrigue of Things (5-6 years)
Nari Ward travels around and often finds cool stuff, which he turns into sculptures and installations that weave stories and make the exhibition space feel quite magical. Every object has a story to tell and each one leaves a trace: come and discover together with the Pirelli HangarBicocca arts tutors how many impressions you can create using different elements and materials and have fun making colourful new ones of your own!

Go on an adventure through elements from past and present and have fun exploring Chiara Camoni’s exhibition, like a modern-day archaeologist. Unravel enigmas and ponder questions to discover the wonders concealed among porcelain snakes, stone lionesses, and floral carpets!

Some of Chiara Camoni’s works are in the form of animals: owls, praying mantises, lionesses and snakes magically bring the Pirelli HangarBicocca Shed to life. Become an explorer and go off with the arts tutors in search of the creatures on display. Collect them all!

The works in Chiara Camoni’s exhibition are magical combinations of natural elements and everyday objects. With the help of the Pirelli HangarBicocca arts tutors, grown-ups and children can discover all her fantastical creatures, and then they’ll unleash their imagination to create their own!

FAMILY LAB: An Archive of Wonders (6-10 years)
Chiara Camoni’s works create a continuous interplay of references and ideas, weaving ancient tales and fables. They evoke memories of both past and present, in magical combinations of natural elements and everyday objects. Drawing inspiration from the exhibition, grown-ups, children and teenagers will all be able to try out various materials and together create a personal archive of wonders!

Admission rates for the creativity courses on the Kids program are as follows:
First child – 8 euros
Each additional child – 6 euros
Accompanying adult (Family Lab) – free of charge
By purchasing the Family Membership Card children and adults can take part free of charge in all Kids activities, which must be booked online.
